Even though 2024 has officially closed its doors behind us, there is still (tons of) work left to do. I don’t know about you but every year, my plans are well-laid out. The thing is, they’re all laid out in my head. Despite having the power of the small but mighty business planner and maybe a couple shots of caffeine, I still manage to mess everything up. Am I the only one?

Question, how did you celebrate and welcome 2025?

If you’re curious how I embraced the new year with open arms, it was silently and soft launching my new brand – an exclusive invite-only membership for a select clientele. I would love to discuss and babble more about this new venture. However, I will save it for when it truly comes to fruition.

Speaking of big bold moves for 2025, let’s talk growth plans. If you’re wondering how I’ve planned and made things possible, it’s because of Wandering Aimfully. Caroline and Jason are perhaps among the mentors that have kept me grounded in this crazy wild solo business journey.ย

Kimmy Garcia - Female Millennial Founder

If you can already tell, much of my time will be invested in this new secret voyage. I will be documenting this for the future. So, stay tuned.

I have to say, at this point – many domains and brands later, I think I need a second LLC. Also, I am wondering how long I can keep up until I actually hire a second hand. But then, it will not be a one-person business anymore. Bah. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

New ventures aside, let’s circle back to the State of the One-Person Business address. I have officially named myself the ๐Ÿพ Champagne Executive Officer of my business. I’m digging this new title and I think I’m going to own it this year.

Right, growth plans for current assets (that I’m struggling to maintain). LoL.

To be quite frank, the big project is to streamline current products, offers, and services for the year. This means that all the things in my head (by things I meant ideas) will have to remain what they are – just ideas… for now.

This also means that I need to put on that chastity belt over little miss shiny-object-syndrome of a mess. Otherwise, the vicious cycle of never getting things done will just carry on.

2025 Growth Plan - Streamlining workflows and automations for my solo business

If you and I share the same half of a brain, you will be able to relate to what I’m about to tell you. You have million-dollar ideas in your head that you want to do, offer, or sell and you start working on them all at the same time. Does this ring a bell? Great.

Well, this year is going to be ๐Ÿคž *fingers crossed* more peaceful and less chaotic.

In nursing, when we create care plans for patients, we utilize rationales that justify the smart goals we formulate. Guess what? I will be applying the exact same formula for the business starting this year and I’m really excited to see where this goes.

Let’s use Growth Plan One as our first example (this is our “Business Care Plan“).
The Smart Goal: By the end of 2025, Evergreen Affiliate Systems will be fully launched and “evergreened”.ย
The Rationale: Evergreening a program is a great way to automate lead acquisition and sales which will give me more time to work on other pending projects.

Honestly, this is looking good. I love this approach because it gives me a nice breakdown of what I need to do, why I need to do it, and when I need to get it done. Would you do the same thing?

The big projects for 2025

Now that you’ve seen the big picture, let’s break things down into smaller, bite-sized pieces. In this case, I am breaking down my projects by quarter.

Quarter 1 (January to March)

Bougie Nurse Merch

I just launched a new e-commerce brand for fellow nurses and nursing students. This year, I am dipping my toes back into the world of the Print-On-Demand ecosystem, on top of handcrafted things that I plan to create on my own. My Cricut Maker is gathering dust and earwigs in the closet. Okay, I hope there aren’t earwigs in there at all.

๐Ÿ“Œ Example tiny quest: Curate data for my future print book.

SaaS BUILD PROJECT

I am taking a deep dive on coding and this quarter will be spent more on learning rather than building. I have yet to figure out what type of product to build. There’s a few ideas in mind so we’ll see. It’s going to be a quiet first quarter for 2025.

๐Ÿ“Œ Example tiny quest: Push commits to GitHub.

Quarter 2 (April to June)

WORKFLOWS & AUTOMATIONS

By the end of second quarter, my main workflows and automations would be finalized and set up. This includes all of the website I run and own (+plus some client websites).ย

๐Ÿ“Œ Example tiny quest: Mapping out at least one email optin from signup to subscriber onboarding.

JOINT VENTURE PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABS

This will be a focal point for Quarter two. I intend to aggressively curate and promote my affiliate partnerships across platforms and seek out new opportunities.

๐Ÿ“Œ Example tiny quest: Promote an affiliate product on Pinterest.

Quarter 3 (July to September)

SAAS BUILDING PROJECT

As my coding knowledge grows, I will likely practice by doing. Hence, the actual work should begin. By third quarter of this year, I will launch the idea in a variety of platforms and test its potential.

๐Ÿ“Œ Example tiny quest: Launch a micro-saas in one of the StartUp platforms.

KAIZEN OS SAAS

The main priority for Kaizen OS is not to acquire Founding Members but to begin reaching out to local businesses in my area (or maybe outside of my state).

๐Ÿ“Œ Example tiny quest: Send cold outreach emails to ten prospects per week.

Quarter 4 (October to December)

EVERGREEN AFFILIATE SYSTEMS

As mentioned at the beginning of this post, I am hoping to finalize and launch and Evergreen this project build that has been dragging on for months.

EAS is a platform for affiliate marketers who want to automate their affiliate marketing workflows and processes. The goal is to get each product to run and market itself on its own while you carry on with the next product you want to promote.

I will not be selling a course – it will be free with a platform subscription.

Heritage Health Concierge

Although the health concierge website has launched, I’ve only added a gateway for applications. This will help me qualify prospects to see if this venture has potential. In Q2, I will begin with lead acquisition tasks, research, and framework building. Stay tuned.

๐Ÿ“Œ Example tiny quest: Setting up the email workflow for prospects/leads.

Revenue-wise, I intend to reach $8k MRR. How I’m going to do this in 2025 is a spider web of a mess. If I reach $8k MRR in 2025, this will mark the moment I reach my Ideal Income Lifestyle. This will allow me to kinda retire from being a nurse or to maintain the license, work part-time.

Big projects have side quests. Just like a game (for all my gamer friends out there), in order to successfully complete projects or levels, you need to do your side quests aka tasks. These are the tiny things I need to do on a per project basis.

Example: For my Bougie Nurse Merch, a tiny task will be creating designs for sweatshirts. Or, it could be building a brand new e-commerce website. But now that I think about it, a brand new website is really a project not a tiny task. ๐Ÿค” Ugh.

However, being a nurse and doing this three 12s a week has become a challenge. Imagine doing three twelve-hour shifts in a row every week and having patient loads that are unpredictable. At times, I don’t even want to return. I’ll just die of hunger and homelessness. But then, I see my dog and I feel guilty.

If you are interested in any of the big projects I’m working on, feel free to explore and be nosy about it. Heck, your feedback will be much appreciated.

P.S. There is a secret goal I am trying to keep on top of all these major goals. It’s an ultimatum to myself. I have six months to complete it. Until then, it will remain unidentified for now.
